Diana Hammer
Real Estate Brainstorming

Diana Hammer is by far the best realtor I have ever met.  Diana has been our realtor for the past decade and I cannot recommend her enough. She sold my mother-in-law's house in 2005, even though the market was slow.  She sold my parent's home in 2010 when the market was just starting to recover from the recession, and after following her recommendations, we ended up with 6 offers and competitive bidding. With Diana's expertise, we purchased a lot to build our dream home. All of my friends who have used her service have had positive experiences.

Here are all the reasons you should consider Diana for your realtor:
1. She's extremely knowledgeable, professional, and meticulous in her paper work. In all our transactions, we never had a single problem.
2. She has a comfortable, non-pushy style, and is easy to communicate with. I never felt she was pushing me to buy or sell.
3. As her client, Diana will listen carefully to your needs and concerns. There were times when I felt anxious about my decisions, and Diana was always able to address my concerns. She understood the emotional component of making big decisions.
4. Diana will always have your best interest in mind, and will not hesitate to steer one away from poor choices in real estate. She negotiated a better price for us than I would have ever imagined.
5. Diana really knows the market, plus she is smart and kind and has a big heart.
6. Diana has excellent sense of design. Her advice on preparing the house for sale was spot on.
7. She really knows Marin and the market.

Diana helped my son buy a house in 2013 when the competition for homes was fierce. It was another good experience.  Thank you Diana Hammer!!!” –Suzanne Warner

“Due to the tech boom, home-buying in the Bay Area feels like a contact sport.  Trust me, you want only the best, most skilled, and most experienced realtor you can find, someone who in the high stakes moments, knows how to narrow down the contingencies, who can get in touch with inspectors and contractors at a moment's notice, and who can guide you through every stage of the process, from figuring out what you're looking for to finding the right open houses to making the tightest and most competitive bids to the nuances of the closing and escrow process.  For us, this was Diana Hammer, and every step of the way, she was there with us, educating us to our options and allowing us to make the best, most-informed decisions we could possibly make.  When my wife and I finally did find the right home, one that we actually felt super-excited about, Diana got the jump on our competition and mobilized an inspector to tour the house before making our bid so that we could have a super competitive no-inspector-contigency bid. Thanks to Diana, we closed quickly and managed to get the house for LESS than what a competing bid offered, which is pretty amazing.

Moreover, Diana didn't just leave us with the keys.  Post-sale, she continues to be both a realtor and a friend, showing us the ropes of being first-time home-owners, alerting us to all of the considerations that are new to us: property taxes, sewer ordinances, hiring contractors, etc.  The challenges of owning a home have seemed daunting at first, but having Diana there, with her unique combination of wisdom, humor, shrewdness, and grace, has been incredibly reassuring.

Yes, many of her competitors have more reviews, but consider which you would rather have in the high stakes Marin real-estate market, an agent who is savvy at Yelp promotion or a consummate professional with decades of experience.  My wife and I started with Yelp and only found Diana by a happy accident.  We got lucky.  I'm writing this review so that if you're searching for the right agent, someone you can trust, you'll know you've come to the right place” –Charlie Mandell (from Yelp review.)

“Diana is an invaluable asset to any buyer or seller. We all handle these types of decisions differently and she is really gifted at working with all types of buyers and sellers to get the deal done. She has been an invaluable asset to me over the years after helping me buy my house, renovate it, and in turn sell it. She knows all the other realtors in order to get the word out, gives you the most thoughtful suggestions that are relevant for you and then does the right work to get your transaction completed on time and at the best price. She is realistic, she is thoughtful, she is well respected and very thorough in all that she does.

In a business where everyone "knows" real estate, you really want to do business with someone like Diana. She works with your style and lets you be you so you can focus on finding or selling a place that works for you.

She is terrific and cares about you and your family!” –Erica Abrams

“Diana was wonderful! We looked at several areas in Marin and different types of properties (condo, house) and she seemed to know what we would end up wanting before we did. She was so helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. She supported us every step of the way, including after the sale closed. I would highly recommend Diana to anyone” –Liz Kenney Levonius

"It was truly a bonus when our friends referred us to Diana to sell my uncle's home.  My husband and I liked her philosophy, demeanor, and attitude from the first meeting we had together.  We were honest in sharing what we planned to do to get the house ready for the market, and she was honest in explaining what she thought we needed to do to make it the best sale possible.  Her ideas were a little more involved than what we first thought we should do, but as we progressed through the process of transforming the house, it became very apparent that everything she suggested on day one was totally the right thing to do.  The result was a very large crowd for the open house that we had on April 1; we heard 3 offers 2 days later, accepted the best one for us, and escrow closed on May 3!  The entire process could not have gone any smoother than it did.  We firmly believe that Diana's experience and savvy made it all happen in a very civilized manner.  We would use Diana again in a heart beat.  It was fun to work with her, easy to communicate with her whenever we needed her advice, and all in all, a very pleasant experience for us and we highly recommend her to you!" -Nancy Knott
